The slim portable 2P mouse is a perfect solution for those of you that can’t stand using the trackpad and that find the little travel mice just too small to operate. When packed to go, this portable mouse is the smallest, thinnest most elegant accessory you can imagine possessing. When ready for mousing it ever-so-gracefully flips into a strong, 3 dimensional, hand-fitted laptop mouse, built for long hours of stable and comfortable work.

Advantages over other laptop mice:

  • A unique double featured laptop mouse – slim, flat, easy to carry and saves space when traveling. It twists open to a strong, 3-dimentional structure for mousing.
  • Stores in your memory card slot (or inside your smallest pocket).
  • Steady structure - does not “lean” on a fragile “kickstand” when open – easy to work with for hours.
  • Fits all laptops – PCs and MACs – by a USB connection
  • A length adjustable portable mouse - fits all sizes of hands.
  • Easy scroll operation for rapid navigation - just gently slide your finger on the smooth center touch-scroll wheel.
  • Touch-scroll wheel – when traveling no sand or dust will ever interfere with your portable mouse scrolling
  • Comfortable left and right buttons (won’t break or get stuck after no time).
  • “Plug and play” - and just “scroll on”….
  • No torn or mixed up cables – the retractable USB cable stores quickly and neatly under the laptop mouse surface.
  • A Schick, origami-like, luxurious designed slim portable mouse (like no one else has…). Comes in 4 different colors to choose from.

Advantages over the laptop trackpad:

  • Much easier to operate than the tiny laptop trackpad (even if you played the piano as a kid or have really small hands…).
  • Freedom of movement – as you work long hours with your portable mouse, you’ll find that your hand and back are more relaxed.

The Gorillapod Go-Go for people who like to put their gadgets on a pedestal

September 3rd, 2008

If you class your phone/MP3 player/PDA/digital camera as being far too precious to lie on a dust and dirt ridden desktop (or somewhere equally mucky), or you’re just simply into unique looking tech accessories, the Gorilla Go-Go is definitely worth casting your eye over.

It’s a clever little accessory that’ll hold up virtually any of your gadgets (within reason - it won’t hold your Playstation), with its multiple attachment options such as suction clips and high-bond adhesive clips. It looks like it will come in handy when watching a porn film on your phone or showcasing your latest holiday snaps.

When you’ve got a bit of spare time on your hands you could even pretend it’s some kind of hybrid monster with three rubberised legs coming to destroy whatever resides on your desk with little mercy. The practical possibilities of the Go-Go are almost endless.

Put your gadgets on a real pedestal for £29.99 from Think Geek.

The non-alcoholic portable hard drive

July 30th, 2008

iomega_flask_drive.jpg

Despite first impressions, there is nothing alcohol related when it comes to iomega’s eGo Leather Hard Drive (other than looking like an old man’s whisky flask). You do realise that if you decide to purchase the iomega hip flask storage, there’s a strong possibility you’re going to have to ward-off constant alcohol related comments… probably until you upgrade to a new hard drive. Alternatively, if you’re worried about coming across as a geek in front of your mates (so worried you can’t sleep at night), get on down to the first techy shop you can find and buy yourself this cleverly disguised hard drive - that’ll throw them off the scent.

Rather than providing you with a way to take sneaky sips of your whisky, the iomega hip flask storage (its cooler name) offers 250GB storage, USB connectivity and compatibility for Windows, Linux and Mac.

Get yours from ThinkGeek for $149.99 and prepare yourself for the *cough* alcoholic *cough* comments.

My One Handed Thumb Controlled Camera. Ambidexterity Be Damned!

July 17th, 2008

image

Mikhail Stawsky believes he has the answer to designing a truly universally comfortable camera called INDEX. All the mechanics are the same as any said camera but the body has one handle giant handle that rotates left or right, depending on your dexterity. The aperture/shutter display and trigger are all within thumb’s reach. The main part of the camera houses the lens, viewfinder, screen, and mode dial. The flash is hidden in the handle itself tho it’s size and proximity to the lens may be an issue. So What do you think?

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J., July 16, 2008 – Samsung today unveiled its 2008 second-half digital camera line up with the launch of four new models – the TL34HD, TL9, SL310W and SL201. Joining the company’s growing array of advanced digital imaging solutions, these four new digital cameras bring new technologies to the industry and will be on retail shelves nationwide in time for the upcoming holiday shopping season.
TL34HD
Boasting an impressive resolution of 14.7 megapixels and renowned Schneider lens yielding a 28mm wide-angle focal length with 3.6x optical zoom, the TL34HD promises sharp, clear and detailed images with every shot. The most advanced point-and-shoot digital camera in Samsung’s history, the TL34HD builds upon the success of its predecessor, the NV24HD, with the ability to capture high-definition video at a resolution of 720P along with Dual Image Stabilization.
Featuring an all-metal build, the TL34HD is pocket-sized with dimensions of 3.68” x 2.34” x 0.80”. Available in all-black, or silver with a red accent adding to the camera’s elegance, the TL34HD takes camera design to a new level. Although compact, a large three inch touch-screen hVGA LCD dominates the back of the camera and is sure to turn heads no matter where the TL34HD may be used.
The TL34HD also pioneers Samsung’s next generation Smart Touch 2.0 user interface, which further simplifies the way users navigate through the camera’s comprehensive feature set. By incorporating touch-screen technology, users can now select and control various camera functions by interacting with the TL34HD’s large three-inch touch screen LCD. Not only does this enhance the experience for the shooter and the operation of the Smart Touch interface, but it also provides for a much sleeker and attractive design.

Music fans often can’t stand to be without their tunes no matter what they are doing. In the car, on the bus, outside– they want music everywhere. JVC let music fans have tunes in the tub with its floating MP3 player. That was fine for the bath takers, but what about those who prefer a shower?

Net Japan has the solution for the shower musicophile that wants tunes while they shower in the morning called the Juke Tower. The device is about the size of your bottle of shampoo and even has a clock built-in so you don’t stay in the shower too long. Power for the device comes from a trio of AA batteries (or a trio of USBCell) that provide 12 hours of playback. Music for the player is stored on a removable USB flash drive (not included). The price is $129.99 and you can get yours now.
