VTech announced its latest cordless landline phone today called the IS6110. One glance at the phone and you can tell it was designed to resemble mobile smartphones with its design. The phone features a full QWERTY keyboard which seems like an odd feature for a cordless phone.

The QWERTY thumb-style keyboard is to make the instant messaging capabilities of the phone easier to use. The phone provides free access to MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger.

To get access to the IM applications the included base unit has to be connected to a USB port on your PC. Other features of the phone include a large LCD with color and click-to-talk feature that allows for peer-to-peer voice chats. The phone is available now for $99.99.
