Samsung outlines 2H 2008 European digicam lineup
Korea’s Samsung Camera has issued a press release at the IFA tradeshow in Berlin, outlining the company’s digicam plans for European markets in the second half of 2008.
Five digital camera models are introduced, all of which were already unveiled some six weeks ago. The models with US equivalents are the Samsung L201 (known in North America as the SL201), the Samsung L310W (aka the SL310W), the Samsung NV9 (aka the TL9), and the Samsung NV100HD (aka the TL34HD). One further camera - the Samsung S1070 - was previously announced in the UK market but with no North American equivalent model. Few specifications are available on the Samsung S1070 beyond the fact that it is an entry-level model based around a 10.2 megapixel imager coupled to a 3x optical zoom lens, and features a 2.7″ LCD display, ISO to 1600 equivalent, face detection, movie mode with zoom possible during recording, and ten scene modes.
Pricing and availability for European customers haven’t been disclosed at this time.
